  What is Grancrete?

After a decade of development and successful demonstrations, Grancrete stands poised to bring its exciting family of new materials to the market on a large scale to address large scale challenges. Refined formulations and production capabilities are now coupled with a growing distribution chain, multiple application devices, and demonstration projects reflecting a myriad of uses. Whether you're in need of a material to build something new, repair something worn or damaged, reinforce something under stress, or protect something at risk, including the environment, Grancrete's high performance green products offer a solution.

Grancrete of Belize specializes in building in the unique tropical environment of the Caribbean. Its highly energy efficient, cost effective rapid construction process is perfectly suited for the natural challenges of the diverse Belizean terrain.

Grancrete is a spray on structural ceramic material that is stronger than traditional concrete but has none of the harmful environmental side affects of concrete. Grancrete cement is not like concrete it is the world's first spray on structural cement that does not require expensive and time consuming reinforcement with steel wire or mesh. It is comprised of a patented blend of chemicals, locally available aggregates, and water but Grancrete doesn't just dry like conventional concrete it is produced through a unique chemical reaction that turns Grancrete into a dense, hardened ceramic cement having more than two to three times the compressive strength of regular concrete.

  Why Grancrete?

  • Housing cost at records highs
  • World housing shortage > 1B homes
  • Declining infrastructure - collapsing storm sewers, water containment systems, bridges, seawalls, retaining walls
  • Growth in government needs - DOD and Homeland Security spending
  • Number of natural disasters - hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunami, fires
  • Environmental concerns - waste management, recycling, mold, toxic building materials, etc.
  • Production impact - no ozone depletion due to the burning of fossil fuels as with cement production
  • Increased demand and price for cement, steel, and lumber
  • High energy cost due to poor insulations and decaying structures.
